Lexington Residence

Lexington Residence

This early 1950s modern house is tripled in size with care not to overwhelm its scale. The gallery stair hall gathers the spaces, public and private, about it to celebrate the as a cross rods of this young family and to link into the neighborhood common land. The modern forms and details of the original are celebrated and extended, and parents’ suite allows for privacy without loss of connection. Meanwhile the central courtyard is a microcosm of the neighborhood.
